OPENTUNITY 7th general meeting
What: OPENTUNITY 7th general meeting
Where: Grand Hotel Oslo, Norway
When: 11-12 June 2025

The seventh general meeting of the OPENTUNITY project was held on June 11–12 in Oslo, Norway, hosted by NODES at the prestigious Grand Hotel Oslo. Our team was represented by Janez Gregor Golja and Tomi Medved.
The first half of Day 1 focused on updates from Work Package 1 and the pilot site sessions, where each pilot leader shared progress since the last meeting in Madrid (February). Janez, together with partners from Amibit, presented preliminary findings from a citizen engagement survey, along with other updates from their pilot site.
The second half of the day featured a workshop organized by NODES, bringing together key stakeholders (DSOs, TSOs, and FSPs) who are actively working on the development of local flexibility markets. The session offered valuable insights and lessons learned, and concluded with a rooftop networking event, where participants enjoyed the Oslo skyline while engaging directly with external stakeholders.
Day 2 was dedicated to technical progress across Work Packages 3, 4, and 5. Before diving into those, Janez delivered a general update on WP6, which oversees deployment and demonstration activities across all four pilot sites.
Later, during the WP4 technical session, Janez gave a detailed update on Task 4.4 – Optimal Selection of Available Flexibility. He highlighted the progress made in identifying the most suitable method for the optimal selection algorithm, demonstrated an initial version of the algorithm using a simple example, and outlined next steps. This work aims to support aggregators in effectively utilizing their assets to meet flexibility requirements.
In addition to LEST, five other Slovenian partners participated in the meeting: Kolektor sETup, Amibit, Avantcar, Elektro Ljubljana, and Elektro Primorska.
