Forth Project Meeting and IEEE PES ISGT Europe

What: 4th CROSSBOW Project Meeting

Where: Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

When: 25th – 26th October 2018

The fourth CROSSBOW general meeting was held in Sarajevo, BiH. The meeting was hosted by NOSBiH (Nezavisni operator sistema u Bosni i Hercegovini). NOSBiH is an Independent System Operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

UL representatives and LEST team members assoc. prof. Andrej Gubina , Edin Lakić and Jan Jeriha presented the progress and activities performed since the third meeting in Budva (Montenegro). LEST team presented the overview of work for the tasks on emerging Smart Grid business models ending in October. Additionally, Work Package 10: Wholesale Ancillary and Wholesale Market toolset work plan was presented.

Project coordinator ETRA announced that the 5th Project Meeting will take place in Manchester (UK) in the end of February/beginning of March.

What: IEEE PES ISGT Europe

Where: Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

When: 21st – 25th October 2018

From 21st – 25th October 2018 LEST team members participated on the IEEE PES ISGT Europe 2018. IEEE ISGT Europe 2018 is the 8th IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Conference sponsored by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES). It focuses on industrial and manufacturing theory and applications for the wide use of information and communication technologies and integrated renewable and distributed energy resources on the electric grid. The conference aim is to attract IEEE and IEEE PES members as well as non-members who have an interest in Smart Grids.

Assoc. prof. Andrej Gubina was a keynote speaker presenting a “Getting Hands-on Experience with Smart Grids in the EU Horizon 2020 research program” on 25th October.
