I did a 6-month internship inside the LEST team in 2019 to complete my master’s degree in Energy Engineering. There, I had the chance to research the impact and suggest improvement of energy labels within the framework of CONSEED project and the European Horizon 2020. I am grateful to Mr. Edin Lakić, M. EE., and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andrej Gubina who supervised me and also to all the rest of the LEST team for their warm welcome and support.
The European Energy Market Conference 2019 occurred while I was in the laboratory so I could help for the organisation and be a part of the event. That was the highlight of this stay!
This internship enabled me to get a broader view and a deeper understanding of what the energy field in Europe is like. And also put theory into practice and prepare me for my coming career start.
And of course, 6 months in Slovenia implies lots of excursions and for a country that I knew nothing about, it is a great discovery. It is a peaceful, natural, green, yet forward-looking country, in other words, a perfect place to stay!
