CRP – Development of production optimization of the Sava HP plant and NP plant Krško

CRP – Development of the expert system for the production optimization of the Sava HP plant and NP plant Krško on the basis of a week-ahead low-flow rate forecast on the Sava river.

The project linked three key points: Operation of the Krško Nuclear Power Plant, the provision of flood protection and the evacuation of high water and electricity. The management of the closed chain of HPPs on the Sava River represented a complex optimization problem, which could be solved only by the use of appropriate tools that use measurements of actual input parameters and their forecasts (hydrological data, energy use) to make real-time actual operating simulations.
