The fifth general meeting of the OPENTUNITY project was held in Graz, Austria, from October 15 to 16, hosted by Joanneum Research. Janez Gregor Golja represented our team at the event.

The first day focused on reviewing feedback from the recent project review meeting and assessing progress since the previous general meeting. During the WP4 innovations presentation, Janez provided an update on T4.4 (Optimal Selection of Available Flexibility), showcasing the results of the HEMS forecast models and outlining the plans for the coming months. After the formal sessions, participants enjoyed a guided tour of Graz, which concluded with a thrilling ride down the world’s largest underground slide.

On the second day, the focus shifted to citizen engagement efforts, addressing one of the main comments raised by the project officer during the review. Each of the four pilot sites presented their initial risk management plans and timelines for citizen engagement activities, ensuring that the project effectively considers the human aspect of energy sector innovation.

In addition to LEST, the meeting was attended by representatives from five Slovenian partners: Kolektor sETupAmibitAvantcarElektro Ljubljana, and Elektro Primorska.
