The Laboratory of Energy Policy in cooperation with Petrol d.d. organized the second lecture in a series of IEEE invited lectures. Head of the laboratory Assoc. prof. dr. Andrej Gubina and other team members presented the LEST activities and ongoing research and industrial projects. During the event LEST’s Horizon 2020 projects, BioEnergyTrain, CROSSBOW, CONSEED, STORY, were presented to interested public which mostly consisted of master students, researchers and employees from the energy field.
Mr. Tomi Medved, new President of IEEE PES Slovenia, invited students to join the section and announced further lectures on a monthly basis.
After that the representatives of company Petrol d.d. were invited to the floor and give a speech about their company and fields where they are active. Dr. Gašper Artač presented 7 interesting energy topics for master’s theses which are directly related with challenges the company faces on a daily basis of its operations. Interested students will get full support in a form of a company’s mentor-ship and the best achievements will be rewarded.
