On Tuesday and Wednesday, 2nd and 3rd June 2026, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering hosted the 3rd consortium meeting of the ePowerMove project, organised by LEST. Following last year’s meeting in Vienna and the winter meeting in Cyprus in early 2026, LEST took on the role of organiser this time around.
The ePowerMove project, which focuses on developing a comprehensive technological solution in the field of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology enabling the management of the electricity grid using energy stored in electric vehicles (EVs), is entering a critical phase, as installations of charging stations at pilot locations in Austria, Cyprus and Finland are set to begin in the coming six months. The partners therefore took a close look at the challenges facing each pilot site and aligned on the next steps in the development of V2G technology.
LEST played a significant role at the meeting, presenting not only the organisation of the event but also the results of its work within Work Package (WP) 3. Under Task 3.1, led by LEST, the V2G architecture was developed, and the report was submitted in March 2026. In addition, LEST is involved in WP 5, where it will develop business models under Task 5.1. As the task kicks off in July 2026, LEST took the opportunity to present partners with a detailed implementation plan.
Alongside LEST, two other Slovenian partners, AVANT2GO and METRON, are involved in the project. They assisted with the organisation of the consortium dinner and the meeting itself. Using an AVANT GO EV, the group also visited the headquarters of METRON, where the team showcased their workspaces and the latest innovations in the field of EVs, charging infrastructure and batteries.
