Iztok Zlatar, PhD

Team leader – Market data and Analytics (REMIT), ACER

Iztok Zlatar obtained the PhD at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana in 2011. Being a Ph.D. candidate at the Laboratory of Energy Policy, he completed a part of his postgraduate education at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland. In 2010 he received the scholarship of the World Federation of Scientists (WFS). His research fields were Energy Supply Strategies, Electricity Markets, Power Generation, RES and Power System Economics. Iztok Zlatar was employed at  Petrol d.d., as head of analytics programme in Petrol’s Trading division. He is currently employed at The Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) as Market data and Analytics team leader in the Market Integrity and Transparency department. His team is responsible for REMIT data quality assurance activities, implementation of REMIT BI and surveillance tools and data analytics.
