Blaž Kladnik graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana in 2008. In 2009 he was employed at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering as a researcher, and from 2010 onward at the company Holding Slovenske elektrarne d.o.o. (HSE). He was working as a young researcher at the HSE and after his doctorate in 2013 he was employed as an analytics. His field of research includes Demand-Side Management, production planning, economics and operation of the electricity system and renewable energy sources. He is currently employed at The Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER).
