Workshops “Community E-Mobility: Co-Creating the Future of Local Mobility”
November 14, 2025
What: A series of events on how communities can develop their own community e-mobility models
Where: Online (introductory seminars), Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana (in-person workshop)
When:
The Laboratory for Energy Strategies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, together with the Korimako Institute and other partners, is launching a series of events under the title Community E-Mobility to jointly start shaping the future of mobility in Slovenia and the wider region.
Community mobility models offer an exceptional opportunity for communities to take the lead in establishing key infrastructure for electric vehicle charging, integrating renewable energy sources, and sharing electric vehicles. We will also present our open call, which can provide a subsidy of €10,000 in seed funding for the purchase and installation of e-chargers for electric vehicles (more about the open on the website and in the full call document).
First, we invite you to an introductory online seminar on 19 November at 10:00, where we will present a proposal on how cooperative models for community mobility can accelerate the transition to cleaner and more affordable transport and mobility at the local level. You can register for the online seminar at this link. The event will last 1 hour.
A week later, we will repeat the seminar, this time in Slovenian. You can register for the Slovenian-language seminar at this link. The event will last 1 hour.
On 4 December from 10:00 to 16:00, we kindly invite you to an in-person workshop at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana (in English).
You can register for the workshop at this link.
At the in-person meeting, you will gain essential knowledge on how communities can develop their own community mobility models. We will cover:
- the basics of electric mobility,
- the potential of community mobility,
- the investment potential of establishing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles,
- key elements of a successful community initiative,
- a hands-on prototyping workshop – how to transfer theory into practice.
The event will take place as part of the Community Mobility Cooperatives project, financially supported by EUKI (European Climate Initiative).
