What: OPENTUNITY 1st review meeting
Where: SUPSI university in Mendrisio, Switzerland
When: 5-7 June 2024
The first review meeting for the OPENTUNITY project took place in Mendrisio, Switzerland, from June 5 to 7. Our team was represented by Tomi Medved and Janez Gregor Golja.
On the first day, we dedicated time to rehearse our presentations with only the OPENTUNITY consortium members present. On the second day, the consortium was joined by the project officer and an external reviewer. The OPENTUNITY consortium presented the progress of work packages 1 and 2, along with updates from the four pilot sites. Janez presented the Slovenian pilot, with support from Uršula Krisper (Elektro Ljubljana) and Jurij Jurše (Elektro Primorska). After the presentations, our Swiss partner AEM gave us a tour of their pilot site, showcasing assets such as a V2G charging station and sharing valuable insights on managing the rapid increase in renewable energy sources
(RES) and electromobility. The day concluded with a social dinner at a hotel offering a stunning view of Lake Lugano and the surrounding mountains.
On the third day, the focus shifted to the technical work packages (WP3-WP5). Janez presented the progress made in T4.4, detailing how the EV fleet from Avantcar was integrated and showcasing the results from the developed forecast models.
In addition to LEST, representatives from five Slovenian partners attended the meeting: Kolektor sETup, Amibit, Avantcar, Elektro Ljubljana, and Elektro Primorska.
