This year’s edition of the IEEE PES ISGT Europe conference was held in sunny Dubrovnik and was organised by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) and the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER).
The ISGT conference is the leading IEEE PES conference in Europe, and its general theme covers the development of the power grid and applications for the wider use of information and communication technologies for the advanced operation of power systems and the integration of renewable and distributed energy sources. This year’s priority theme was ” Towards Net-Zero: Integrating Smart Technologies for a Decarbonized Connected Energy Grid”.
This year, ISGT was attended by our member Matej Pečjak, who presented a paper on the last day of the conference entitled ” The Impact of Independent Aggregators on the Electricity Market – Slovenian Case Study”, which also includes some of the research activities of the OPENTUNITY and STREAM projects. Matej also participated in a workshop dedicated to representatives of the national branches of IEEE PES (Region 8 PES Chapter / SBC Chairs Training). Participants learned about new organisational developments and opportunities at the workshop and exchanged experiences.
