ePowerMove Consortium Meeting in Cyprus
What: 3rd Consortium Meeting of ePowerMove Project
Where: Nicosia, Cyprus
When: 17.02.-18.02.2026
The consortium of the ePowerMove project met on 17–18 February 2026 in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, where a two-day project meeting was held in the new premises of the University of Cyprus.
The objective of the ePowerMove project is to establish a Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) charging system for Electric Vehicles (EVs), in which vehicles would not only act as electricity consumers but would also be able to discharge their batteries and thus actively support the operation of the local power grid.
The project began in 2025, and the start of operation of pilot sites in Klagenfurt, Helsinki, and Cyprus is planned for the end of 2026. The meeting in Nicosia was therefore particularly important, as partners exchanged information on the progress of individual pilots and discussed data and criteria for selecting EVs suitable for the implementation of V2G solutions.
At the meeting, LEST participated as task leader in Work Package (WP) 3 and in WP5. On the first day, LEST presented the work carried out and the progress achieved within WP3, where activities will be completed in March 2026 and the final report submitted. On the second day, LEST presented the implementation plan for the tasks within WP5, which will start in July 2026.
The meeting proved to be successful, confirming that the project is progressing according to plan. It also highlighted once again that regular information exchange and close cooperation among partners are essential for the development and implementation of complex solutions such as V2G technology.
