programming, optimal disaggregation of flexibility

A warm and supportive atmosphere at LEST, which made me feel truly welcome from the very beginning.

My three-month stay in Slovenia was a truly valuable and beautiful experience in every way, and I’m returning home with only positive impressions.

During my internship at the Laboratory of Energy Policy, I had the chance to learn a lot about cutting-edge topics in energy field, smart grids, energy markets, flexibility, and different problems and possible solutions. I was involved in the Opentunity project, where I worked on the problem of optimal disaggregation of flexibility. I also improved my programming skills. I’m very thankful to the whole LEST team for letting me join them for three months, for being so supportive and making me feel welcome.

Ljubljana is a beautiful and charming city, and I truly enjoyed my time there. But I also had the chance to visit many other places nearby, and I can honestly say that Slovenia is a country that has it all. Just a short trip from the capital, you can find the sea, mountains, lakes, and breathtaking nature everywhere you go. It’s a perfect mix of everything, and everything is so close and easy to reach. Also, the people were always warm and friendly, which made my stay even more enjoyable.

All in all, I’m really impressed and I can’t wait to have the chance to visit Slovenia and LEST again.

Slovenia gave me not just
knowledge and experience, but memories
and connections I’ll always carry with me.
