Ludvik Bartelj, PhD

Trading Director, GEN-I, d.o.o.

Ludvik Bartelj obtained his university and Ph.D. degrees at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, in 2002 and 2010, respectively. During 2002 – 2007 he was employed at Elektro Ljubljana d.d. in the Sales and Trading Department. As a junior researcher at the Laboratory for Energy Policy, he performed a number of studies and projects between 2003 and 2007 with focus on risk management, asset and portfolio optimization. Ludvik Bartelj is now employed at GEN-I d.o.o. where he started as a Head of Portfolio Management and Analysis and continue as Chief Risk Officer and currently holds a position of a Trading Director. He is responsible for Trading front activities, Trading Operations, Market and Portfolio Intelligence and Regional Origination as well.
